It’s been a positive month. We go on hearing “What a good idea” all the
time; would you buy a T-shirt with our logo and that slogan if we made
one? We’re thinking about it.
What’s been happening?
* Another 30 or so items added to the inventory, and more waiting to
be entered. And a few loaned out too. We’d be grateful for more
donations of ‘things for the Library. And we’d love it if more
‘things’ go out on loan https://leamlot.myturn.com/library
* We’ve had regular sessions as volunteers alongside our opening
hours on Wednesday (11-1) and Saturday (2-4). Do drop in and talk to
us and see the Library, and maybe you’d like to join us as a
volunteer in some way.
* We’ve had a new leaflet designed and printed. Please do come and
take one or some for workplaces or noticeboards where you are – if
you can’t make our opening times, you can also come by when the
EcoHub is open on Thursday and Saturday leamington-eco-hub.co.uk .
* our Facebook page has been more and more popular. The favourite post
is the one that leads you from the bandstand to our door – the post
is pinned at the top of the Leamington Library of Things Facebook page.
* We have had some good local publicity from the Leamington Observer
and the Leamington Courier, thank you.
* Finally, we received the first draft of our new website and hope to
be able launch it very soon. We don’t like to spam you with too many
emails but we may just send out a note when it goes live.
The big ask this month is for more storage space. We’ve even had to
refuse some larger donated items because we have so little space where
we are. If you have or know of a shed, a garage, a room that we might be
able to use within reasonable reach of us in the the town centre, please
do let us know, we’d be very grateful.
